Watch PANTERA & SUPEERA joint workshop: "Boosting the R&I activity on Smart Grid Technologies" on demand

Croatia is a member of the EU since 1st July 2013 and actively works towards the success of the energy transition objectives to achieve the declared policies for achieving the low carbon economy.

On September 10th, at the Splitech workshop, project partners from PANTERA and SUPEERA projects, joined by stakeholders active in the field of smart grids, storage and local energy systems, discussed during round tables and presented relevant themes to gather insights of how to overcome areas of concern hindering more efficient efforts towards a low carbon economy in Croatia.

The PANTERA project’s work and particularly at regional level, as well as the EIRIE platform’s role in supporting a smoother energy transition were presented by PANTERA project coordinator Dr. Venizelos Efthymiou (FOSS), Tasos Tsitsanis (Suite5), Mattia Cabiati (RSE) and Mohamed Shalaby (DERlab).

The EIRIE platform was showed and use case solutions were demonstrated with the participation of local stakeholders such as Prof. Tomislav Capuder (Univ. of
Zagreb), to show how regional needs can be matched through the platform.

Dr. Ivan Matejak (EERA) presented the SUPEERA project and how both projects’ objectives are linked.

We would like to thank our panelists who made a fruitful and engaging round table possible: Zorana Barišić (Croatian NCP), Orsolya Küttel (Hungarian NCP), Damir Pirić (Director HEP ODS – Croatian DSO) and Tomislav Novosel (REGEA), as well as our moderators: Dr. Venizelos Efthymiou (FOSS), Dr. Luciano Martini (RSE), Dr. Ivan Matejak (EERA) and Dr. Shafi Khadem (IERC).
